Sunday Night Glee For Moylagh

Moylagh    1-10

Meath Hill  1-5

Moylagh made it 3 wins out of 3 in the Junior A Football Championship with a deserved 5 point victory over Meath Hill in Moynalty on Sunday evening. With Justin O Reilly making the trip up from Kerry and Joe Melia cutting his holidays  in Spain short, Moylagh had a strong hand to choose from and were first out of the traps going in at the break 0-6 to 0-2 to the good with only some poor shooting preventing a wider margin.

A Barry Smith goal 7 minutes after the restart virtually secured victory and although Meath Hill rallied late on, scoring a goal from a controversial penalty, Moylagh were not to be denied a victory which puts them on top of the table.

Moylaghs second string made a dissappointing start to the Junior C Championship going down to Nobber on a 1-10 to 0-3 scorline despite the best efforts of Ciaran Hannon, Ciaran Grall, Ray Kenny and Shane Brody.
