Moylagh 1-11 St.Brigids 4-9

Despite having the better of the game in the first half Moylagh were unable to push on after the break and lost out to their neighbours in a spirited local derby.

Moylagh had raced into a 5 point lead at half time with a scoreline of 9 points to 4. However a quick-fire 1-2 from St.Brigids within 5 minutes of the re-start dealt Moylagh a body blow from which they never truly recovered. The Ballinacree side added another 1-2 to a single point for Moylagh to establish a 4 point lead with ten minutes remaining. Moylagh were thrown a life line with a well taken goal from Paddy Grall closing the gap to a single point. As Moylagh pushed men forward in search of an equaliser St.Brigids struck on the break to seal the game with a 1-1 in two minutes and added another goal in the closing moments to put the result beyond doubt.
