Final Score: MOYLAGH 1-14 BOARDSMILL 4-04

Moylagh stunned Boardsmill in Junior Hurling Championship semi-final played in windy conditions in Trim on saturday afternoon. Boardsmill got off to a brilliant start with the wind behind them and were 1-02 up before Moylagh got into the game.

Boardsmill kept the Moylagh backs under pressure for most of the first half and Moylagh were dealt two serious blows with Colm Melia and Sean Og Doyne having to to be withdrawn with serious injuries.

HALF TIME Boardsmill 2-3 Moylagh 0-5

Moylagh started the second half brilliantly and a couple of early points was followed by the goal that was needed by top scorer Eana Brody.

But disaster followed for Moylagh as Boardsmill went up the pitch and scored a goal and a point to once again put daylight between the teams.

But points from Paddy Gilsnan. Maurice Quinn and Stephen Tierney pulled Moylagh back into contention and a magic point from the captain Eamon Boyle and another from William McGrath after good work from Paddy Rahill gave the boys in green a one point lead with about 15 seconds left.

Boardsmill pushed for the equaliser in injury time and it took a brilliant intervention by Cieran Grall to prevent the draw.

It was a great team display by Moylagh with the Grall brohers and Eamon Boyle standing out in the backs and the now very reliable midfield pairing of Eana Brody and Owen Gilsnan midfield.

In the forwards William McGrath and Paddy Rahill were always on top.

Also when called on Carl Clinton solid game in the full back line.
