Moylagh 0-9
Kilmainhamwood 1-6

Moylagh reached the knockout stages of the Junior Championship for the sixth straight year after this exciting draw against Kilmanhamwood in Ballinlough on Friday night.

Kilmainhamwood started the brighter and within a minute former county star Ray McGee should have netted but kicked wide. The 'Wood' proceeded to kick four more wides before Willie McGrath got the first score of the game for Moylagh after ten miutes. Stephen Kiernan replied for Kilmainhamwood but then Moylagh took over. Points from Justin O Reilly (2), McGrath and Shane Nolan gave them an interval lead of (0-5) to (0-1).

Kilmainhamwood came out with more intent in the second half. The game was just on when veteran Francus Owens got in for a well taken goal. A brace of points from McGee in between a great effort from Moylagh's Colm Fanning left it all square after ten minutes. The sides traded points for the remainder of the game. Two from county minor star Willie McGrath for Moylagh and one each for Francie Owens and McGee left it all square 1-5 to 0-8. Tom O'Reilly landed a great effort for Moylagh with what looked like the winning score. But with time up Kilmainhamwood's Philip Moran sent over the equalising point.
Moylagh will be happy to reach the knockout stages but alot of improvement is needed if they are to progress.
